The non-spying side of the National Security Agency, specifically, the Systems and Network Analysis Center of the Information Assurance Directorate, offers this helpful brochure on using file encryption in the utility WinZIP. (Via my good bud John Young at Cryptome).
Dunno about you, but I always love it when one side of the NSA helps protect against the spies on the other side of the NSA.
